Snickers Cream Pie

Okay, who in his right mind can resist a Snickers bar? For someone with my food addiction it was only a matter of time before I had to figure out a way to eat my favorite candy bar in more ways than its wrapper. I developed a Snickers bar cookie, but that’s for another day. Here’s a cream pie, perfect for upcoming summer festivities: fast, cool, and Snickery. My measurements will create extremely thick mixtures, so plenty of elbow grease is required. This means mixing by hand. Cool Whip must be folded in, so an electric mixer will deflate all the air. You might want to make two of these at time. They won’t last long, if you have Snicker-lovers in your family.

8 oz. Philadelphia Cream Cheese

1 Tbsp. milk

1 tub Cool Whip Whipped Topping, thawed

1 large Snickers Bar, finely chopped (easier if you chill or freeze, first)

1 and 1/2 cups cold milk

2 pkgs. Jello Chocolate Instant Pudding

I Oreo Pie Crust (or make your own by crushing chocolate cookies and drizzling melted butter to make sticky crumbs, then press into a pie plate).

Mix half the pack of cream cheese and 1 Tbsp. milk in large bowl with a wire whisk until blended. Gently fold in half the tub of Cool Whip and the chopped Snickers.

In a different bowl, mix 1 and 1/2 cups cold milk and both boxes pudding mixes. Mix until well blended. Mixture will be VERY thick. Fold in remainder of Cool Whip and remainder of cream cheese.

Layer mixtures on Oreo pie crust, beginning with half of pudding mixture, cream cheese mixture, and rest of pudding mixture.

Refrigerate 4 hrs. or until set. Garnish individual slices with Cool Whip and finely chopped peanuts.
