Quick and Luscious Banana Pudding

This literally takes ten minutes to prepare, but the results will surprise you. My family always asks for this for for special gatherings, and there’s never a bite left. This is a fluffier, lighter version of an old southern classic, sure to please. We love it, here!

8 ounces sour cream

1 package Jello-brand vanilla instant pudding mix (5-ounce box)

1 and 1/2 Cups whole milk

1 8-ounce container frozen Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed

1 (16 ounce) box vanilla wafer cookies (I love Nilla brand)

4 ripe bananas peeled and sliced

In a large bowl, whisk pudding mix and milk until thick and smooth. Fold in sour cream and Cool Whip. In the bottom of a clear glass trifle bowl or any large dessert bowl, place a layer of the cookies. Cover with a layer of pudding, then a layer of bananas, followed by pudding. Repeat layers, making sure to cover cookies and bananas well with the pudding. End layers with pudding. Add one final layer of cookies. You can place cookies around edge of bowl or crush them and sprinkle, but make it pretty. Chill. Best if made the day before and left to chill overnight.
