Reese’s Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie Cake

I love baking from scratch and prefer fresh ingredients to boxed mixes. I collect cake recipes, my favorite, being pound cakes, and am constantly on the lookout for the one that will deliver moist, fine-crumbed texture and delectable flavor. I happened upon this gem so long ago, I’ve forgotten where I found it, and almost passed it over because it contains a boxed mix. Imagine when I tried it, and was bowled over! It has been a hit every time I’ve made it, and am always asked to bring it to church potlucks. It creates a decadent, moist, full-bodied cross between a fudge brownie and chocolate pound cake. And even more unbelievable, it is so easy!

 

1 box Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil’s Food Cake Mix

3 small boxes Jello Instant Chocolate Pudding Mix

1 Cup warm water

1 Cup Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Chips

4  eggs

1 Cup sour cream

3/4 Cup vegetable oil

1 and 3/4 Cup Reeses’ Peanut Butter Chips

1 Cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Generously grease a 10-inch Bundt or tube pan and line with parchment paper. Lightly grease the paper. This is a dense cake, and parchment paper is a must to keep it from sticking to the pan.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

On slow speed with a hand mixer or standing mixer, combine cake mix, pudding, sour cream, and oil. Stir in remaining ingredients. Batter will be very stiff. Pour into greased pan and bake in pre-heated oven for 1 and 1/2 hours. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto plate. Cool completely. Cake may be glazed, frosted, dusted with powdered sugar, or left plain. For extra decadence, warm Hershey’s chocolate sauce and drizzle over individual slices.

    I dont think I would ned the parchment paper I have those silicone cake pans so the next time I go to the store I must have these ingredients and make this the chocolate freak that I am I know I will love it so much,
